1891Foundation of the Neugebauer Irmãos & Gerhardt company in Porto Alegre, to manufacture candies and cookies sold directly in the factory’s counter, through street vendors, and in bulk.
1892First great bulk sale to the colonies in Rio Grande do Sul’s countryside and expansion of the factory after purchasing the first large machine from the Hartwig und Vogel Cocoa company.
1894Arrival in Brazil of the entire Neugebauer family.
1896Construction of the first building.
1902Purchase of more adequate utensils and modern machines to expand the production of caramel and cookies. Start of chocolate manufacturing.
1904Gold medal in the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, in the United States.
